Competitions

One day, a little bird that was flying over England dropped a message from the sky to Monty's Corner. The message said "I saw someone so special with a talent".

Based on this message, Monty wanted to uncover the hidden talents.

We have plenty of competitions at Monty's Corner! It is free to enter. Select your category from the list below, choose your theme and submit your work using our competition online entry forms.

Did you know that a boy named Piotr Kolodziej, 13 from Massachusetts was bored of watching TV in the hospital during treatment for leukemia and learned how to paint as a way of passing time and expressing creativity? Read his story here.

What an inpirational story, isn't it? We know you can do it, too. Also, we say it is a "competition" but it isn't really. It is a place to show how creative you are.

What do we do with the entries?
We prepare a variety of items like books, calendars, cards and many more. We use these items for fundraising purposes.

What do the winners receive?
The selected entries will be displayed on Monty's Corner for one year to show the whole world what the children are capable of creating. After one year they will be arranged for printing.

Winners receive a free copy of the item for which the entry is used. The winner's work is always displayed on the cover or the first page where appropriate. The authors of all other selected entries will be able to purchase copies at half the usual retail price.

Which languages do we accept?

WHY?

Why in my brain?
It caused me so much pain.
Why in my head?
Perhaps somewhere else instead.
Why in my brain?
We tried a fluid drain.

I just want to walk like you.
I’ve had enough now, haven’t you too?

Poem from Sophie Pollock who lost her battle with cancer in 2007.
